Sensitive work on buildings worth protecting.

Projects on listed and historic buildings are governed as much by consent and conservation as by construction. We coordinate conservation officers, specialist consultants and skilled trades, keep the consents in order, and move the work forward without losing what makes the building worth keeping.

BREEAM & sustainability

A credible rating, not just a certificate on the wall.

We build the environmental target into the brief and the programme from the outset, rather than bolting it on at the end. Working alongside the assessor and the design team, we keep the rating achievable on site and the evidence in order, so the result holds up at handover.

Retrofit & refurbishment

Getting more from buildings that already stand.

Refurbishment carries risks that new-build does not — the unknowns behind the walls, the live constraints, the surprises found mid-programme. We survey carefully, plan for what we cannot yet see, and manage the works around the people still using the building.
